Jay Sprecher

Jay Sprecher and his wife, Pam, have been in the pastoral ministry for over 45 years.
Jay, saved in 1957, was called to preach and received his training at Bob Jones University with a major in speech education. In the beginning of his ministry, he served in the capacity of Christian school teacher, youth director, music director, Christian school principal, bus ministry director, and assistant pastor.
In 1979 he was called to be the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, where he served for 3-1/2 years. During these years, he was able to organize a Christian school at that ministry.
The Lord then called him to pastor at Keystone Baptist Church in Berryville, Virginia, where he served as senior pastor for 12 years. For the first few years of ministering there, he served as principal of the Christian school as well as the pastor.

For the last 25 years, the Sprechers have been involved in church planting in the Northwest, serving under Northwest Baptist Missions, Grantsville, Utah.
When first arriving in Wyoming, they served at Grace Baptist Church in Mountain View, WY. They have also labored in church planting in Kemmerer, WY, Manila, UT, and Dutch John UT. Both Jay and Pam taught college classes at Northwest Baptist College during these years of ministry.
In 2006, they planted Friendship Baptist Church in Star Valley, WY, where they continue to minister.

Jay’s wife, Pam, has been very active in the music ministry, and has also taught in the Christian school ministry.
She has authored numerous sacred songs and has published a book of Scripture songs that is being used all over the world.
She has taught high school mathematics, English, music, and also gives private piano and voice lessons.
In each ministry, she has led in youth outreach, organized the music program and led ladies’ fellowships.
